Tungsten carbide shortage: Nadler Hartmetalle secures delivery capability for 2026
The price of tungsten carbide has risen more than sixfold since March 2025 – with consequences for costing, production and supply chains throughout the carbide industry. Nadler Hartmetalle recognized this development early and aligned its raw material supply accordingly: in 2026, too, the family-run company assures its customers of reliable production and on-time delivery of custom carbide parts.

Carbide in filling systems • 14.10.26
Dose precisely, produce longer
Dosing units in filling systems in the food and cosmetics industries are in direct contact with the respective materials and are permanently exposed to high cycle rates and regular cleaning cycles when products are changed. Changes to surfaces and geometries have a direct impact on dosing quantity, product quality and plant availability. A project from filling technology focuses on precisely this area and on the use of carbide where tool life and process stability are decided in continuous operation.

The underestimated moment of precision • 14.10.26
Why precision in carbide manufacturing begins in the green compact
The decisive precision is created long before carbide is sintered – in the green compact. In this chalk-soft but dimensionally stable state, contours can be created so precisely that hardly any rework is needed later. Working cleanly here lays the foundation for dimensional accuracy and complex geometries.

Carbide in industry: hard, precise, durable
What does carbide do in everyday use? We classify its material properties, explain how formulation and processing determine performance, and show the benefits with clear examples: gear cutting tools and hob blanks for tight tolerances, knives and nozzles for abrasive media, precise components for medical technology. The result: longer service life and reliable quality.
