Dosing units in filling systems in the food and cosmetics industries are in direct contact with the respective materials and are permanently exposed to high cycle rates and regular cleaning cycles when products are changed. Changes to surfaces and geometries have a direct impact on dosing quantity, product quality and plant availability. A project from filling technology focuses on precisely this area and on the use of carbide where tool life and process stability are decided in continuous operation.
