Custom carbide parts from a batch size of 1: Nadler Hartmetalle combines the complete production chain in Odelzhausen

Odelzhausen, 1 May 2025 – Since 1967, Nadler Hartmetalle GmbH has been manufacturing tailor-made custom carbide parts from a quantity of 1. The family-run company in Odelzhausen (between Munich and Augsburg) combines the entire value chain under one roof: from powder metallurgy and the in-house production of its own carbide grades to pressing and precision manufacturing with final grinding.

In the company's own laboratory, each batch of carbide grades is tested and only transferred to production after release. Physical values as well as density, hardness and detailed compositions are recorded. After the powder has been pressed and pre-profiled in the green state, sintering takes place in sinter-HIP furnaces. The parts then receive their geometry to drawing by CNC grinding, wire and sinker EDM and lapping. In-process dimensional checks ensure that all tolerances are met.

Delivery times: Blanks with grinding allowance usually leave production after two to three weeks. Ground precision parts including a measurement report are usually delivered within four to six weeks. This fast production applies to both single parts and larger series.

Customers include companies from the automotive, mechanical engineering, medical technology, food technology and plastics technology sectors. Whether carbide cutting tools or carbide size-reduction tools – Nadler supplies industrial carbide solutions “Made in Bavaria” and “Made in Germany” when flexibility and accuracy are required.

“Because we are responsible for every production step ourselves, we can implement even unusual requirements precisely and on schedule,” says Wolfgang Nadler, Managing Director.

For the coming years, Nadler Hartmetalle is planning investments in automation and digitalization in order to process inquiries even faster and further optimize workflows.
